Privacy Policy

Keeping Well is a private, approval-only place to share photos with a small circle of people you choose. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We built Keeping Well as the opposite of the attention economy: we do not run ads, we do not sell your data, and we do not profile you for advertising.
Who we are
Keeping Well is operated by Township Collective, Inc. (“we”, “us”). You can reach us at [email protected].
What we collect
- Email address. Used to create and secure your account (one-time sign-in codes), and, if you join the beta, to send you an invite.
- Phone number. Used to verify you and to help the people you know find and connect with you. It is never shown publicly.
- Profile details. The name and optional avatar you choose.
- Photos and captions you post. Stored privately and shown only to the people you have approved.
- Connections.Who you’ve approved and who has approved you.
- Subscription status. Whether your posting subscription is active. Payment itself is handled by Apple; we never see your card details.
- Device push token. If you enable notifications, so we can send the relational alerts you asked for (a follow request, an approval, a comment).
We do not use advertising identifiers, third-party ad/tracking SDKs, or behavioral analytics for advertising.
How we use it
- To provide the service and deliver your photos to the people you approve.
- To verify your identity and keep your account secure.
- To send only the notifications you turn on (never “come back” engagement pings).
- To process your posting subscription through Apple.
- To respond to reports and keep the community safe.
Who we share it with
Your photos and posts are shared only with the people you have approved. We share limited data with service providers who help run Keeping Well: Supabase (database, authentication, and private file storage, hosted in the United States), Apple (subscriptions and push notifications), and Resend (transactional email). We do not sell or rent your data, and we do not share it with advertisers.
Where your data lives & how it’s protected
Data is stored in the United States. Photos are kept in private storage and are only accessible to your approved connections through short-lived signed links. Access is enforced at the database level (row-level security), and data is encrypted in transit.
Payments
Posting requires an auto-renewable subscription ($1.99/month) billed by Apple through your App Store account. We receive confirmation of your subscription status from Apple, not your payment details. Manage or cancel anytime in your Apple subscription settings.
Your choices and rights
- Delete your account at any time from within the app (Settings → Delete account). This permanently removes your profile, photos, comments, and connections.
- Report or block people or content you find objectionable, directly in the app.
- Control notifications per type in Settings.
- Access or correctyour information. Email us and we’ll help.
Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your associated data. Beta-waitlist emails are kept until you ask us to remove them or the beta ends.
Children
Keeping Well is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
We’ll update this page if our practices change and revise the date above. Material changes will be communicated in the app.
